The first generation of mutants known as the X-Men were gathered together by Professor Charles Xavier, a brilliant scientist who is secretly a mutant himself. Headquartered at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, the X-Men test their emerging powers in the Danger Room. Their mission: Use their powers to fulfill Xavier’s dream of a world where man and mutant can coexist. Led in battle telepathically by Professor X, the mutants seek to protect a world that fears and hates them from the forces of evil. The X-Men have quickly become a team that can count on one another when danger strikes. As much a family as a team, the X-Men plan to be together for a long time to come!
