Ka-Zar, born Kevin Plunder, was raised in the wild Savage Land after his explorer father was killed there, leaving him orphaned at a young age. He survived by being taken in by the land’s primitive tribes and eventually becoming a Tarzan-like protector of the region, forming a lifelong bond with the saber-toothed tiger Zabu. Though fully human, Ka-Zar honed peak physical abilities through survival, combat, and deep knowledge of the Savage Land’s dinosaurs and dangers. As an adult, he reconnects with the outside world, marries Shanna the She-Devil, and often finds himself caught between modern civilization and his duty to defend the prehistoric realm he calls home.
