Series 7 was the last of what could be called the non themed series, going forward releases were based around specific story lines or gimmicks. This series marked only the second female figure in the X-Men lines. ToyBiz executives believed strongly that the X-Men toys were a boys only product and boys would not want to play with female figures. Other than Rogue and yet another version of Wolverine this wave didn’t introduce any new X-Men.
